The window is divided in panels. Options are pretty self-explanatory. They will let you shape dTa! as you like the most. You'll find extremely useful the filters' panel. Here you can add or delete your own inclusive filters, also using regular expressions.

  • Filters panel: here you can manage inclusive filters, add new ones, modify or delete existing ones. To add a filter click on 'Add new filter'. Now you can fill the fields with a filter name (which is the one that will appear in the "Make your selection" window) and the filter content, which can be a simple string of text to match or a regular expression.

You might let dTa check for updates.
+ This might be very useful to get new versions faster or get important news.
+ dTa will transfer no personal information except the version of DownThemAll!.

Multipart download

+

DownThemAll! may try to download a file in several chunks at once. This may accelerate the overall download.

On the other hand some servers may be erronous when it comes to such procedure, so that downloads might fail.

Specify the maximum number of concurrent connections per download using the dropdown.

Keep in mind: the more the better does not count here. Usually you'll get best performance with with a value of 2 - 5.

Download timeout

A server might not send any new data for some time. If this time exceeds this configured timeout the download will be canceled so that DownThemAll! may continue with the next download in queue.

If you have to deal with "laggy" servers you may want to raise the timeout.

Temporary Files

The unfinished downloads need to get stored somewhere. Per default the dedicated directory of your system will be used:

    What is "dTaOneClick"?

    +

    dTaOneClick! will start downloading all the links/pictures of the current webpage that will match the filters used in the last dTa! session. Downloads will be saved in the last setted destination path and will be renamed using the last setted renaming mask.

    For example, open dTa! right clicking in a free spot of a gallery page, select inclusive filter "Images" from "Make your selection" window and click on Start!. dTa will download all the pictures linked in the webpage, but it will also remember all the settings for the next time. Now browse another gallery. Right click on a free spot and just select "dTaOneClick!". Boom. You'll have all the pictures downloaded in your download folder. In one click.
